How AussieReefing works, how we treat stores, and how you can manage your listing.
What we do
Aggregate products across Australian reef stores so hobbyists can discover and compare livestock and equipment in one place.
Drive traffic back to your store — every product listing links directly to your website. We never sell products ourselves.
Help hobbyists discover your shop — many customers find stores through AussieReefing that they wouldn't have found otherwise.
What we don't do
We don't sell products or interfere with transactions. All purchases happen directly on your website.
We don't prioritise stores unfairly — see our fairness statement below.
We don't intentionally misrepresent your store, products, or pricing. If something is wrong, we want to fix it.
Our Fairness Commitment
All stores on AussieReefing are treated equally. Listings are not prioritised, boosted, or demoted based on payment, commercial arrangements, or any relationship with AussieReefing.
Product listings appear based on objective criteria: recency, availability, and relevance to the user's search. If this ever changes — for example, if we introduce optional promoted listings — we will be transparent about it and any such features will be clearly labelled and opt-in.
Manage your listing
We want your store's information to be accurate. Here's how you can manage it:
Request an update
Something wrong with your listing? Description needs updating? Shipping info changed? Let us know and we'll fix it promptly.

If you'd prefer not to be listed, we respect that. Email us from your store's official email address and we'll remove your listing.

We're building a self-service portal where store owners can verify ownership, update their listing information, fix inaccuracies, and control their store's branding on AussieReefing.
Images & data
Product images displayed on AussieReefing come directly from your store's public product listings. We don't modify, watermark, or repurpose them — they're shown as-is to help customers identify products.
Where possible, we prefer to use manufacturer-provided images over store-specific photography. If you'd like specific images removed or replaced, let us know and we'll action it promptly.
Product data (titles, prices, availability) is refreshed regularly from your public product feed. We aim to keep this as accurate as possible, but if you notice any discrepancies, please contact us.
Our accuracy commitment
We aim to keep all store and product data up to date, but we know mistakes happen. We welcome corrections from store owners and will prioritise fixes when notified. If something is wrong with your listing, it's not intentional — and we'll fix it fast.
Commercial transparency
AussieReefing is an independent project. We want to be upfront about how we operate:
- • We currently have no active affiliate or commission arrangements with any listed store.
- • If we introduce affiliate links or partnerships in the future, they will be opt-in and clearly disclosed.
- • No store pays to be listed, and no store pays for better placement.
- • AussieReefing is funded by its creator as a community resource for the reef hobby.
