The cleanup crew backbone

Snails are the workhorses of any cleanup crew (CUC). Trochus and Astrea graze algae from glass and rock, Nassarius snails sift sand and consume detritus, and Cerith snails clean sand beds at night. A well-stocked snail crew is essential for a healthy, clean reef tank.
