A large, dramatically coloured wrasse that undergoes a striking colour change from vivid red-and-white as a juvenile to a dark blue-green adult with electric blue spots. Red coris wrasses are not reef-safe with small invertebrates — they will eat snails, hermit crabs, and small shrimp. Best kept in FOWLR or large community tanks without small crustaceans.
