One of the rarest and most expensive tangs in the hobby, with a jet-black body covered in brilliant white spots. Gem tangs are collected primarily from the deep reefs around Mauritius and Madagascar, making them exceptionally rare in Australian waters. They are hardy once acclimated but command premium prices that reflect their extreme rarity.
