The most popular and recognisable tang in the reef hobby, prized for its brilliant solid yellow colouration and active grazing behaviour. Yellow tangs are excellent algae controllers and relatively hardy, but they need plenty of swimming room and can be aggressive toward other tangs, particularly conspecifics.
